If you’re a senior who wants to make your voice heard–here’s your chance.
Applications are now open for this year’s Student Commencement Speaker. If chosen, you’ll step up to the mic and deliver a personal speech at the Commencement Ceremony on May 22 at 4:00 p.m. at the Melody Tent in Hyannis.
How to Apply: Submit a short essay that captures the heart of your message. What have these years meant to you? What do you want your classmates to remember? Your speech should be five minutes long when delivered, but your submission doesn’t need to be perfect or memorized—just genuine and reflective of your experience.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by Monday, April 7.
What Happens Next: Finalists will be invited to meet with the selection committee to share more about their speeches. From there, one speaker will be selected to work closely with the Communication Studies faculty to fine-tune the writing and delivery.
