Sea Change Reading and Art Show: An Afternoon of Art, Reflection, and Expression

Students, faculty, and local artists gathered in the Tilden Arts Center for the “Sea Change” art and reading show, an event dedicated to art’s ability to capture emotion and expression. Named after Shakespeare’s famous phrase for transformation, the April 24 gathering lived up to the magazine’s title: each reading and photo offered glimpses into personal journeys, worldviews, and the changing currents of the human experience.

Hosted in conjunction with the launch of this year’s edition of “Sea Change” magazine, the afternoon consisted of a blend of student writers, local artists, and lit lovers who shared original works inspired by the natural world and the interior landscape of human thought.

Together, these local artists and writers created a space where creativity met vulnerability. And in a time when the literary world can feel obsolete and connection can feel fragile, the “Sea Change” magazine reminds us of the enduring power of shared artistic expression.
