Letter From the Editor

Jessica Lynch and her dog, Duke. (Matt Lynch)

By Jessica Lynch

Dear MainSheet readers,

I can’t believe it’s already the end of the semester. As the old saying goes, “Time flies when you’re having fun,” and fun we had. This semester saw person-on-the-street interviews, movie reviews, event coverage, editorials, helpful tips and more. I’m so impressed and proud of the journalism students this semester. They had fantastic story ideas that led to a dynamic newspaper. We hope you enjoyed reading what they had to offer.

As the semester comes to a close, I want to wish you all a safe and fun holiday season. I’m looking forward to seeing what next semester brings for The MainSheet. Due to changes in my schedule next semester, I will resume my editor-in-chief role in a new capacity. Current Managing Editor Isabella Cantillano-Sanchez and I will be co-editors-in-chief for the spring semester. Isabella is a brilliant writer and editor, and I feel so grateful to be able to work with her again next semester. Grace Lema will be transferring to a four-year college, so she will not be returning as managing editor next semester. Working with her this semester was a joy. Her journalistic instinct and creativity will be missed greatly.

Isabella and I look forward to continuing to bring the stories that you look forward to reading in the MainSheet this spring and incorporating new ideas such as a recurring pet column.

As always, thank you for supporting the MainSheet. Writing and editing for the 4Cs community has been nothing short of an amazing experience, and I look forward to continuing to do so for one more semester. Happy holidays!

Sincerely,

Jessica Lynch

Editor-in-Chief
