Editors Note: This is the first installation in a recurring column called From the Bear’s Den. The column is written by Bruce Bowen and focuses on all things 4Cs. Bruce is a 90.7 FM WKKL radio personality known as Bruce the Bear. He is also a senior staff reporter for The MainSheet, and he is excited to share what’s up at 4Cs through his column!

The Cape Cod Community College Foundation has 135 scholarships to award this spring totaling about $345,000. To tap into this largess and get your piece of the pie all you have to do is go to ccccfoundation.org and fill out the application. It takes about an hour.

As you are filling out the application online, it will match you to the appropriate scholarships for which you are eligible. Not all of the scholarships are need based. Some are based on what you are studying, where you live, or a host of other criteria. Everyone is eligible for at least five to 10 different scholarships. There are scholarships for 4Cs students, for those moving on to other schools, and Project Forward.

The application time window opens February 13 and closes March 6.

If you need help with your application or have any questions, the CCCC Foundation office is located on the 3rd floor of the Wilkens Library. Their office is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
