Feeling bored or tired of the dreary weather? You’re not alone. With limited activities available, it’s easy for boredom to set in and moods to dip. But there’s a simple solution: reading. Here are some of the favorite books enjoyed by 4Cs students and staff.
Librarian Maryann Stacey and nursing student Alex Copeland both love “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
Nursing student Caitlin Ryan, a fan of mystery novels, recommends Agatha Christie’s “Then There Were None.”
Librarian assistant Elissa Derby favors “The Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyes, saying, “I like how it shows the strength of women.”
Kylie Giallongo, corresponding editor of Sea Change magazine, enjoys “The Catcher in the Rye.” “This may be a controversial take, since some people hate this book, but I really loved it,” she says.
Editor-in-chief of Sea Change magazine, Jupiter Haughey, recommends “House of Leaves” by Mark Z. Danielewski. “It’s a thriller with unique formatting and strange narratives,” Haughey explains.
